Hey guys!Long time no write. I know I haven't been the best blogger lately but I do apologize and will make more of an effort to update my page. For starters, we can talk about yesterday's events. For those of you living in the NE, New York to be even more specific, you know it was extremely frigid for the past couple of days. Well yesterday, My photographer friend,Shondelle Austin, decides that she wants to have a photoshoot, outside in Soho. It was definitely about 20 degrees yesterday, however, I was very excited about this. We were going to do 2 looks but the weather wouldn't allow it. For the first look, I wore some mustard yellow tights under a pair of purple Ralph Lauren corduroy shorts, My sweater and trench was from Hennes & Mauritz(h&m lol) and I topped that off with a pair of fuscia patent leather mary janes. I left my accessories at home, like only I would, but luckily Shondelle had a prop for me to use. It was this sick mask with a bunch of fun colors, it worked great. ::After doing the shoot, we ran like we stole something, all the way down the block to starbucks. I was slipping and sliding all over the place, due to the snow on the ground, and due to the fact that I could barely feel my toes. My hands were in soo much pain, I thought I would have to go to the hospital, thats how frozen they were. SMH, if this is the life of a model, I don't doubt that I'd be able to live it, I do it quite well lol. This makes me want to try out for ANTM again.

Scary Stuff...

I could not believe my eyes when I saw this Aol.com earlier. This is a pic of a father in Germany tossing his 2-year old son out of the window to fire-fighters waiting outside of the burning building. Luckily, the baby survived, however nine people, including five children were killed.

MY SIZE CLUTCH

It seems that in fashion, many designers are taking the 'HUGE' approach and revamping almost all things in shape and size. In a recent post, I spoke about the crazy heel designs that designers like Valentino and John Galliano recently added to their collections. These heels are cool because they are not only different in shape but they are quite big if you ask me.

Although shoes, most times make the outfit, a good accessory is not something to take too lightly. Necklaces, Earrings, Bangles, Rings.....are all doubling in size. But.....Let us not forget....THE BAG. Clutches have recently become one of my favorites due to its sudden change in size. With the right clutch, you can come out with no earrings, a bit of gloss for the lips, shades, and a sweat-suit...and expect the spectators to (as my mother would say) CLUTCH their pearls!.

Speaking of blue, I recently got word that Mr. Shawn Corey is supposedly recording songs for his new album, yep I said it, NEW ALBUM! He's naming it Blueprint 3 and of course it's going to be FIRE! I mean, this is HOV we're talking about. Thanks to "Ms. Pro-Vintage" I was able to get hear a leaked track of his called "Aint I"[ http://www.zshare.net/audio/7129246738e79b/]. I'm really excited about his plan to drop a new album, however, it's a bit unusual being as though he usually does a every 8 months kinda thing. I'm still tryna get over American Gangster lol, shoot, I'm still tryna get over all of his albums, so I suppose it doesn't make a difference now does it. According to Shaheem Reid at MTV.com, Def Jam sent out several promo copies of Jay's song "I Know" from his latest LP, American Gangster, which definitely screams NEW SINGLE! (He should def. call for me the video lol) Shaheem also stated that he recently spoke with Jay's spokesperson and it has been said that the single "Aint I" is an old recording and that Jay hasn't mentioned anything about creating a Blueprint 3. YIKES! Well guys, all we can do is cross our fingers. He just may be coming out with a new album, you know how secretive these stars can be. lol.

Donna Karen Fall 08'

Talk about being in love! As I browsed many of the different designer's I would've never thought Donna Karen would be the one to wow me. Don't get me wrong, she's a great designer, however, I can't recall the last time that I've been truly head over heels for anything that she created. That is, until now! Her collections is sooooo ME, and I know yall see the head...can you say SMITTEN!

Cheers to Kimora Lee Simmons, for producing yet another banging line. Speaking honestly, it sort of took her a minute to get her FAB on. I can not and will not say just for the heck of it that she was allllways hot because, I'd be playing myself. However, this line as well as a few of her past lines were flirting with MEAN! I love her 'I'm Fabulous' attitude, and the prissy pieces she has to match from her Fall 08' collection.

I love these guys. You couldn't possibly have a bad day when wearing one of their pieces. Everything about Richie and Traver, designers of Heatherette, is LIVE. They choose the funkiest models to walk down their runway, or as they would say, "We don't choose the models, the models choose us." I hear that!

But like always, I'm back with the jump off! School is getting the most of my time and energy so when I go a few days without posting, don't fret! It's always a "go hard or go home" moment when I return and trust....I'm on a mission to go in! So much has happened in the past couple of days, so many magazines have been read, tv specials viewed...etc....I've been inspired, to say the least. So...sit back...grab ya goodies...and stay tuned!
