I don’t really know the dude
He knew me as a ten year old
But lost his sense of knowledge as I grew into a beautiful
Young lady in college
I never really cared much
That’s what I used to say
But deep inside
I knew I cared much
That was just a way
For me to hide
For me to seek peace
Deep inside of me
Because I vowed to never feel grief
HE DESERTED ME!
He never called
He never wrote a note
Dude said he was scared
To call the crib
cuz mommy might pick up
But mommy aint ya kid
And picking up?!
O! Come On Now!
That’s just what mommy did
Mr. Rucker…you’s a sucker
And I mean no disrespect
Though there’s nothing I can say
That can equate to your neglect
“I love you and I’m sorry”
You use those words a lot
The first time you ever said it
I’ll admit, it touched a spot
But you’re evicted from the home
That you once had in my heart
You don’t treat it with respect
You come and go as you please
You played me for some chick
Kinda like a dude in the street
Now aint that a mother
You want me when you don’t have a lover
Then when you get one
You get brand new
Let these chicks brand you
But d*** you
I’ve found a father figure in Gloria’s son

Yea! The Glorious One
I didn’t have a male figure that any could measure too
I treasured you, the thought of being daddy’s little girl
Now I fight to keep my focus cuz daddy’s in another world

I give respect to my Uncle Jay Hova

What to go after
I put a period after ya name
I’m on a new chapter
It’s called Happily Ever After
Cuz life will go on

Nice but nothing really exceptional to it. I like Jay's part, but as usual Mary always does too much with her combo's and collabo's...indeed. Like the intro and middle part of the song...but in it's totality.. NAWL lol
