Theres Just something, about a girl named Jayms. Could that be the reason why we’re so in love with this beauty named Jayms Madison? I highly doubt it’s because of her name.
Jayms Madison is a 20 year old with a voice out of this world. Born in the Bronx, shipped to Jamaica, Venezuela then back to the U.S., one might think “hmmm… that’s why her voice is so unusual!” In an interview with Anthony Gibson, Jayms enlightens him to the fact that she began writing at the age of 7, when she was in Jamaica. Although that was a long time ago, she says that much hasn’t changed. “I still want to be a superstar and I still want to marry Prince.” So, we know that she’s a Prince fan, she began writing when she was seven and by definition, quite exotic. Another thing that I’ve learned about her is that she’s big on style. She says “Like Prince, I like to think outside of the box.” “I love Patricia Field, Betsey Johnson, & Balenciaga….and Gwen[Stefani], she has wicked style!”
When it comes to anything in life, I believe there are influences, inspirations. I don’t believe anything was ever started without a foundation. When asked about her influences, Jayms says “Oh wow, there are so many. Tina Turner of course, her energy on stage can’t be beat. There’s also Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Imogen Heap, Coldplay, Beyonce. The Darkness…there’s more, but we’d be here all day.”
When I first heard Jayms sing, it was on Myspace. I love music and will listen to anyone, but at the time, I found myself being a little unimpressed with some of Myspace’s talent. When listening to excerpts of Jayms songs, I am immediately won over and love how she commands your ear to listen. You can tell that she ‘s very passionate about what she does. “I like to make music that relates to everyone from here, to mars, and back. It’s a tough thing to swallow when you feel misunderstood or alone in a situation. So I’s love for my music to be that place people can turn to when there is no one."

Thanks Lovebeyonce, for stopping by first of all. I will def. keep you posted on Jayms Madison, I too love her and think her music is crazy. I don't think she has an album out yet, I do believe she is working on one though. Usually, when I want to hear her songs, I go to youtube, or imeem. They have about 2 full songs there but its better than nothing.
